As well as our horses in training Imperial Racing has an interest in a lot of young horses which will run in our colours. Most of these horses will be available for syndication when they are ready to start their career on the track.
We start with our recent obsession with the sire Archipenko. Archipenko was a top class performer on the flat for Aiden O’Brien and Mick De Kock achieving a rating of 120 and earning over £1.2 million in prize money. He was a Group 1 winner over 1m 2f and is the sire of Time Warp who has repeated that feat. His progeny take a bit of time, but they all seem to stay and we see our young crop plying their trade in the National Hunt sphere in the longer term.
Archipenko ex Eminencia - 2017 Bay Colt (50% Owned by Imperial Racing)
A nice looking colt by Archipenko out of an unraced Sadlers Wells mare. His half sister Edya has been placed in listed company in France, and his full sister Archduchess is a winner over 1m 1f for Rae Guest. He is a good size for a yearling, but his pedigree says he will take a bit of time.

Archipenko ex Kibini - 2016 Bay Gelding (50% Owned by Imperial Racing)
Beautifully bred gelding who had done really well over the last year. Out of an unraced Galileo mare, his second dam Kithange was a Group 3 winner. She is also the dam of Group 1 winner Milan, Group 3 winners Koora and Karpino, and Go For Gold and Kahara who were placed at group level.

Archipenko ex Medaille d’Or - 2017 Bay Colt (50% Owned by Imperial Racing)
Out of a dual winning mare for Michael Jarvis and Roger Varian over 1m 2f and achieving a rating of 76. His half brother Californian Lad (by Aussie Rules) won 4 times over 1m 2f for Harry Dunlop and Fergal Birrane achieving a mark of 78. Looks a nice sort who should have enough size and stamina to progress to the National Hunt code.

Archipenko ex Rowlestone Express - 2016 Bay Gelding (50% Owned by Imperial Racing)
A really nice athletic individual our of a Rail Link mare. His second dam was a winner over hurdles and that looks likely to be his long-term occupation.

Champs Elysees ex Modern Art – 2016 Chestnut Filly (50% Owned by Imperial Racing)
A gorgeous filly with size and scope. From the family of Showcasing and Camacho, her half sister Cwynar (by Kodiac) is rated 74 for Richard Hughes. She has a lot of class and we like her a lot.

Champs Elysees ex Combustible – 2016 Chestnut Gelding (34% Owned by Imperial Racing)
Really nice gelding who is showing early promise. Out of a Halling mare who was rated 78 for David Loughane and won over a mile. He is another promising youngster who should make the track later this season.

EDEN COLLONGES by Lucarno ex Regence Collonges - 2014 Chestnut Gelding (100% Owned by Imperial Racing)
Our pocket rocket who had a few educational runs in point to points this spring. We feel he is well capable of picking up a maiden point when the action resumes. Once he has achieved that milestone he will be syndicated to go racing under rules under the care of Jaqueline Coward his current handler. He has shown a lot of promise and is improving all of the time. Our plan is that there will be no cost for the shares and a simple monthly upkeep fee.

INTANGIBLE STAR by Sea The Stars ex Wosaita – 2015 Bay Gelding (50% Owned by Imperial Racing)
A beautifully bred gelding by Sea The Stars who cost £240,000 as a foal and £125,000 as a yearling. He has size and scope but has been backward. As a result he was consigned to the sales by William Haggas, and snapped up by Imperial Racing to go jumping. If he looks a little downcast in his picture it is because he was gelded only a day earlier. He may not have been precocious enough for the flat but he has all the physical attributes to make a jumper, especially as his dam sire is Generous. He will be syndicated to go into training with young up and coming trainer Jaqueline Coward. Shares and upkeep will be a working man’s price.

Lope De Vega ex Forces Of Darkness – 2016 Bay Gelding (37.5% Owned by Imperial Racing)
Beautifully bred son of Lope De Vega. His dam was a Group 3 winner in France over 1m 4f and was sold for £380,000 when in foal to this gelding. There is plenty of stamina in his pedigree and he is not precocious. Will need a trip and one for later in the season.

MANZIL by Bated Breath ex Pointed Arch - 2015 Chestnut Colt (25% Owned by Imperial Racing)
A lovely looking colt (he may be a gelding by now as I haven’t spoken to the trainer for a few days) who cost £85,000 at the Tattersalls July Sales. He is out of a Rock Of Gibraltar mare who won over 1m 4f on soft going for John Oxx. He is a half brother to three winners Farquhar (Archipenko) top rating of 98, Dream Maker (Bahamian Bounty) top rating 89, and Remember The Days (Kyllachy) top rating 83. Manzil was a winner over 1m 2f at Down Royal in June 2018 for Dermott Weld, looking as if he would relish a further step up in trip. He is a shell of a horse who is open to lots of improvement and is capable of running well in the big Saturday handicaps. Bated Breath has never even had a runner over hurdles, but he could be the first !!

GEORGE RISEDALE by Ruler Of The World ex Cape Rising - 2016 Chestnut Gelding (37.5% Owned by Imperial Racing)
Named by Mr Michael Easterby in honour of a local man who fought in the Boer War. He sire was a Derby winner. His dam was a 1m 6f winner in soft ground for Alan Swinbank, and is a full sister to Rising Cross who was a group winner over a mile and a half. That would suggest he should be stamina laden, but he goes nicely and should hopefully make the track later in the year. He catches the eye whenever you see him on the gallops and could have a future under both codes.

Scorpion ex Call Her Again – 2015 Bay Gelding (100% Owned By Imperial Racing)
From the family of Mister Morose and Albertas Run. A real character who is the most chilled individual Scorpion has ever sired. Just broken and ridden and likely to start his education in 4-y-o maiden points in the new year.

Westerner ex Lucky Leela – 2016 Chestnut Gelding (100% Owned by Imperial Racing)
A nice two year old by Westerner who has sired a lot of top class NH horses. He could do with a growth spurt but other than that he is a nice athletic horse who will be broken in the new year and put into pre-training.
