Court Cave ex Crossdrumrosie (Roselier)

We are always on the lookout to add to Imperial Racings National Hunt string and with this in mind we bought Iora Glas as a three year old. Despite his diminutive stature he was a beautifully bred and one of the most athletic horses at the sale. He is bred to do the job being by one of the most precocious sires Court Cave, out of a Roselier mare. Nearly two years later and after lots of hard work by the team at Mounttop Stud in Belfast he made his debut in May 2014 in a point to point at Largy. Travelling strongly he finished an impressive second beaten by less than half a length and in the jockeys opinion would have won if not drifting wide at the final fence. He jumped beautifully throughout and is continually improving as he matures. Iora Glas settled in quickly to the Fergal O'Brien yard, and ended the season with a well  deserved win in a 2m 3f handicap hurdle at Towcester in May 2015. He has mixed chasing with hurdles this season winning at Perth and being placed several times. He looks to be on a winning mark over fences and his first win cannot be too far away. We give him a break mid season as he tends to get stuck in the deep winter ground. A lovely character who has a growing fan club
